E! TV personality and reality star, Giuliana Rancic, announced just last week that she had breast cancer and after undergoing a double lumpectomy a few days ago, the brave star has already returned to work, New York Daily News reports.
According to the source, the new breast cancer awareness
cover girl was nothing but positive about her surgeries and her future during her first night back.
"I've got to say, I feel great," she said on-air. "My surgery went very well, I still do have a bit of a road ahead of me, but it's nothing I can't handle ... and it's going to be good!"
Her surgery may be over, but now Rancic must undergo six weeks of radiation treatments to make sure all traces of the deadly disease are gone.
Always optimistic, Rancic closed her nightly show saying, "I still have a long road ahead, but thanks to everyone's overwhelming love, support and prayers, it will be an easier journey."
Breast cancer doesn't discriminate against celebrities, race or demographics, making it a disease that connects everyone in some way, this is why its so important to get annual mammography exams. Cancer.org reports that stage 1 patients have an 88 percent five-year survival rate.
